Happy Mid Autumn Festival!

Today is the Mid Autumn Festival, which is also known as the Moon Festival, Mooncake Festival, and Lantern Festival. I'm Vietnamese and we call this festival Tết Trung Thu. This holiday is very famous for several other East Asia countries, like China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Korea. Mid Autumn Festival is one of my favorite holidays because it's a holiday where family members come together to enjoy the full moon and have a great time. I remember as a child, I would bring my paper lantern to play with the kids in my neighborhood. We would compare who has the best lantern. It was such fun time, and I really miss it. Now, the holiday is not as fun as it used to be because most of my family members live far away, and we're not as close as we used to be. I told myself that when I have my own family in the future, I will definitely do a big celebration for this holiday.

Eating mooncakes is another tradition during the festival. I used to love eating mooncakes, especially the egg yolk inside. I still like to eat them now, but I don't love them as much as before because some are too sweet for my taste. Mooncakes are pretty expensive though. This year is the first time I bought some, and I never knew they cost over $20 a box (containing 4 mooncakes). But Mooncake Festival wouldn't be Mooncake Festival if there's no mooncakes, right?

I didn't do anything special this year; just bought mooncakes and share them with my family. I hope in the following year, I can celebrate it with more people. I hope everyone is enjoying the festival with your family and friends. :D

Back to School. Sigh.

I haven't update much because school just starts this week for me. Boy, am I stressed out. No, it's not the assignments (yet!) since I just started. The schedule is what stressing me out. A few days before school starts, I found out that some of my classes are too close in time schedule, so I had to drop some classes or else I will not have enough time to walk to from one class to another. As expected, all of the classes I wanted to sign up at that time is fulled. I started stressing out like crazy because I want to make sure that I have the credit hours I had before. I sorted out some classes by dropping the close-schedule ones and added some new classes. The only problem afterward is my Biology Lab, which I had to drop. I couldn't find a good spot that fit my schedule, so I just signed up for the night class thinking that one of the fulled classes will have an open spot for me later. Sigh. But to now, the Lab I want to get in is still fulled. I guess I'm stuck with a night-time Bio Lab. I really don't like taking night class, especially when I already have 4 classes on that same day (Wednesday). I will be very tire very Wednesday from now on. This sucks badly. Well, this is a good (actually bad) experience for me to learn from. This what happens when I procrastinate and too lazy to check my schedules.

My birthday was three days ago. I did absolutely nothing because I was too stressed out and frustrated about my darn schedule. Plus, I had work that day and school was the next day. Planning to celebrate it this weekend, but right now, I'm not really in the mood to plan anything. What a nice start for a new birthday, huh? I'm trying not to stressed out too much. I should save my energy so I can use it every Wednesday. Kaka.

Trip to Cali

I just came back from a trip to California. I did enjoy it because I visit many destinations while I was there: Las Vegas, DisneyLand, lots of Vietnamese stores and restaurants, etc. One thing about the trip that disappoint me was the place we stayed at. Since my sister just moves there, she does not owe a house yet. Therefore, we stay in this room that she rented. The room was not big enough for seven people, which consist of me, my little sister, my older sister and her husband, and my three nephews. I was glad we were out most of the time because staying in that room for a long time will seriously kill me (not literally, of course). I have to say California has absolute gorgeous weather. The temperature never exceeds above 85 degree F while I was there. People in Cali don't even need to turn on the AC; just pull up the window door and the wind outside will do the job. Living in Cali is fun because there are so many places to go. I love how the beaches are close, and orange trees are everywhere. Sigh, too bad everything there are expensive. But I'm sure if I get a job there, the paid will be high because living expenses there are high. Anywho, enough blah blah. Here are some pictures I took during my trip:

The orange tree across the house I stayed in. Yes, the people are stealing picking oranges. Lol.

My three nephews:

In the car, driving to Las Vegas. We were bored as you can see. :P

See how the temperature changes like crazy? It was when we were driving to Las Vegas. Everyone in the car was freaking sweaty and dying.

Las Vegas:

My little sister rides on that roller coaster. Crazy girl! >.<

M&M!!!

Disneyland's theme park pictures:

Mad Teapot Party. I do not like this ride. It makes me feel dizzy and want to puke after I get off. @.@

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. Isn't it beautiful? Sadly, everything is fake.

Cali's Beach:

I took these two pictures at almost the same time. Look at the big difference in the sky.

This is the left side of me.

Random Post II

I'm just posting another random post with random thoughts. Yes, what a random person I am. Kaka. My summer break has started for about two weeks, and I quite enjoying it even though I'm just doing the same routine almost every day. I started work again because I am in needs for money. Recently, I bought the new Honda CR-V, and because of the new car, my insurance price sky rocket like crazy. Of course, I have to work again or else I'll be in debt and then my car will be tow away. Sigh. So this summer, there will be all work and less vacation. I do hope I can take a trip somewhere before I return to school. That's all for now. I will update again soon.

Random Post + WOIL II Review

It's the weekend, Saturday to be exact. Just posting a new entry because I notice I haven't post in a while. Plus, I'm waiting for this series to come on, so I'm writing this entry while the commercials are on. Lol.
Anywho, one and a half week to go before summer break begins. I cannot wait! What shall I do over the weekend? I actually have no clue, except for finding a new job. I have to earn some money because I'm planning to buy a new car. It will be my first own car because I been driving my dad's car since the day I first learn how to drive. What car am I planning to buy you ask? (Kaka, I should really stop popping up questions) I'm deciding between a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla. It's such a hard decision because I'm car illiterate. People say that Honda is better in speed and performance, but Toyota is more reliable. Oh well, I'll decide soon when I test drive them.

Wars of In-Laws II Review
I just finish watching Wars of In Laws today, so I'm going to give some review and comments on it. The series overall is pretty good. I thought it was more interesting than WOIL because of the fashion theme, and I'm a fan of fashion. The relationship between Myolie and Bosco's characters is so cute. It's so funny how Myolie tries so hard to be Bosco's girlfriend by doing what he wants in a girlfriend. Liza is hilarious as the mother in-law. Her performance is truly amazing, even better than in WOIL 1. The way she yells and criticizes her employees and Myolie is just cruel and amusing. The extra history behind Liza's life is interesting. It pulls the audience closer to Liza. The relationship of Liza and Benz is certainly entertaining. They first hate each other, but soon, Benz falls in love with Liza because of her personality. There was a part where Liza comes crying to Benz because everyone has left her, Benz encourages her and even eat Liza's Italian noodles with salted tofu (?). I thought it was so sweet of him because he doesn't hate Liza anymore. This show that love can replace all grudges and hateness inside a person. It sucks that everyone else didn't know the actual story about Liza's relationship with Bosco's dad. It wasn't her fault because Bosco's dad is the one who's two timing. But I guess that doesn't matter anymore because Benz loves Liza nevertheless.
One thing I'm confused with the series is near the ending. Joyce lied to Myolie that she got the permission of this fashion designer in Las Vegas to publish his works, so she can ruin Myolie's chance of publishing a good but last Elva magazine. Later, they found out that Joyce wasn't a traitor, and the truth was she is helping Liza. What I don't understand is why Elva magazine still got blame for publishing that fashion designer's works. I thought that Joyce pretended that she copies that fashion designer's works so she can treat Vivien into thinking that Joyce is betraying Myolie. If that is so then Joyce shound't really do it or else Elva will be in problem. Or because she has to do it in order for Liza to get the chance to buy Elva back.
Anyway, WOIL II is still a good series despite that confusing part. The chemistry between everyone is excellent and entertaining. Joyce and Derek's collaboration for the first time (for me) is funny and refreshing; their chemistry is excellent. No wonder they have rumors because of this series. Like any other series, WOIL II has morals in its story: one should value the people around him/her, treat people with respect, and be consistent with what you want to do. I actually cried several times watching the series, especially the sad scenes of Boscolie.

Fashion Looks in WOIL II
I just want to mention how pretty Myolie looks in the series. After she marries Bosco and starts working in Elva, her fashion style is very trendy and cute. I would love to those type of clothes if only I have the figure to do so. Here're some pictures of Myo wearing different outfits:

I especially love the way the make-up artist does her eyes...pretty huh?
I thought this necklace Liza wore looks really weird. I have never seen a type of necklace like this one before. In fact, I think it's cheap and ugly. I wonder how can you wear a necklace that is not flexible because from what I seen it looks stone straight.
I also hate Liza's hairstyle. What is up with the bang? Even if they want to give Liza a barbaric look, they shouldn't have chosen this hairstyle. Would a fashion magazine chief editor actually wears this type of hairstyle? Probably not. Luckily, I got used to it as I keep watching the series, but I still hate it.
Many of the girls in the series wore some really cute and stylish outfits. Like, Joyce, Nancy, and Vivien. I know WOIL II has a lot of sponsors for the wardrobe, but does everyone get to wear the sponsor clothes or they have to use their owns at some point? I guessing only the important roles get the sponsor clothes.

Spring Break!

I am currently on my Spring Break! Woohoo! I've been waiting for this week to come for a while because I have been so tire of school. I have much to do this one week period, but I do wish to go out of town. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who will go with me, and I'm afraid to go by myself. Sukie huh?

I am really happy today because I finally bought a COACH handbag that I been wanting. I been looking for quite a while to find the right one. COACH just recently release some of their new ones, and in the new ones, I found one that I like. What make me even more happier is I found out there's a COACH store in my city. Usually if I want to look at COACH, I can only go to Macy's, Dillards, or JC Penny. But this time, I can go to the COACH store itself and browse around the lastest items they have. I guess I'm weird, but I prefer going to the actual store because first, the service is better and second, there are more designs to choose from. I also went to Macy's to buy a wallet to match my new COACH handbag. The reason why I went to Macy's to buy the wallet instead of going to the COACH store because Macy's has some COACH's that are on Sale.

Ok, here's the handbag that I bought today:

COACH Signature Stripe Shoulder Bag

And this picture that I took is the handbag with the wallet:

Handbag: $328
Wallet: $168 (I think...)

Can't believe I spend over $500...my heart is aching. But I can't help it, I want COACH. Kekeke.

Obsession with Handbags

I'm supposed to stick my head in front of my Psychology book right now, but instead, I'm procrastinating. How sad is that. :( Hopefully, I can finish Chapter 1 by tonight so I can take the quiz tomorrow night. Yes, my Psychology quizzes are online. I think it's a horrible idea because it'll just make me procrastinate even more. But then again, it teaches me how to manage my schedule. Sukie.

Anywho, lets move away from school-related issues. I been wanting to buy a brand name bag sooooooo bad lately thanks to my sister. When I visit her in Dallas, I keep seeing and hearing about bags. It's kind of hard to avoid because I keep visiting the mall. When you're in a mall that has tons of brand name shops, it just lures you into getting something. I really, extremely want a Gucci bag, but I'm too cheap to buy one, especially when I'm not even making real money. I will be more than satisfied with a Coach. I told myself that if I can lose 5 lbs then I will buy a Coach bag to reward myself. Because seriously, I been gaining tons of weight. I have been sick for over one week now and instead of losing weight (like others would), I am adding extra lbs. If I can accomplish this goal, I can also fulfill my wish for a new bag. Kakaka. One stone hits 2 birds.

Here are a few handbags I would love to have (but cannot afford) and some comments about them:

This is the Louis Vuitton's Mahina Bag. Price: $3,100 (Even if I'm rich, I don't know if I would buy it. It costs ALOT for a bag. But it's sooooo pretty. I like how this bag is different from the original LV bags because most of them have similar style or color. I also like how it sag because saggy bags are so flexible to use. When I was searching for a picture of this bag, I found out a lot of famous celebrities owe it. Can't blame them. Why not buy it when you got the money, right? Lol.)

The Gucci's Jolicoeur Handbag. Price: $765 (It is such a cute handbag. I love the two rows of strips going through the bag. The straps seen easy to carry, and the bell-like keychain adds an innocent touch to the bag. This bag also comes in the color of beige and black, but I think this sand color looks the best. Very clean and cute!)

I'm in search for a Coach bag right now. I used to see a lot of nice ones but now I don't think they sell them anymore (which suck bum bum). I guess I'll just keep looking until I find the right one. Ok, will end here.
